Structure & Usability
An autonomous institution needs an identity built around its reality, not a generic template.
Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur (GECA) is an autonomous institution. When we first approached the project, the primary challenge was structuring an immense volume of academic, administrative, departmental, and student information without creating an overwhelming labyrinth.
Many institutional websites fail because they force complex multi-departmental operations into pre-made commercial themes. Our objective was to build from the ground up around GECA's actual academic workflows and student journey.
“When building for education, clarity is not just an aesthetic choice—it is a functional necessity.”
We architected a streamlined navigation hierarchy allowing students, faculty, and prospective candidates to access critical notices, syllabus repositories, exam schedules, and departmental resources within three clicks from any entry point.
How We Engineered The Solution
Departmental Isolation
Organized engineering branches into self-contained micro-sections with dedicated faculty rosters, labs, and research output.
Mobile-First Delivery
Over 70% of student traffic originates from mobile devices; layouts were optimized for quick rendering on cellular networks.
Dynamic Administration
Built structured update mechanisms for circulars, exam notifications, tender publications, and accreditation reports.
A Digital Portal Befitting an Autonomous Campus
The redesigned GECA portal gives the institution a dignified, modern, and highly functional digital presence. It eliminates information clutter, speeds up critical notice discovery, and reflects the institution's autonomous stature.
